My car covered with snow and the Isteklal street, I guess it is cold out side 🙂

After one week of using the iphone, i decide to share with you my first impression about this device. I got mine from eBay and it was a good deal. I should admit that the internet browsing and emails are something you will enjoy while you are using them a true mobile web browsing. The learning curve is easy everyhing is a straight forward. The keyboard when you get used on it you can’t live without it. If Arabic is imoprtant to you then forget it as an option. The battery life is for great for me 3 day then recharge. Do you consider yourself a good programmer? Did you have an idea how to figure this out??!!! From my little experience when I interviewed programmers especially the fresh one I tried to pick up the "Good one's". by check the points below, so let me share these points and check if you are a good one or not 😉

1. Job or Hobby: Look if the programming is just a daily job task and if he/she think it is a good career and market pay good or he/she do extra work at home or outside the job and love programming because programming not only it is a good career
2. Self Learning, Does he/she learn new things only from training course or there is a space for self learning and teaching, good one does not wait for someone to teach him/her, always trying to look by him/herself
3. Logic and Intelligence, check the logic and intelligence, if you are trying to solve most of problems you face by logic, you have one of the good programmer chatacterstics
4. Look for things that are not mentioned on the CV, like when the 1st time you use the computer, how was your experience with computer, programming, etc. Look for these things that the persons think they are not worthy to mentioned on the thier CVs
5. How much technologies they know: It is good to know one thing on everything, did he/she only know .Net or Java. What is the latest technolgy he/she red about…
6. Formal Knowledge, of course the formal educations and trainings will help you too to decide.
7. Check if he/she convinced about what he/she do, like if he/she believe on Java as technology or just because market needs…

I am sure you will find people who have one or more points that can help to determine if he/she is a good programmer or not. Now Are you a Good one??!!

They asked me alot about who's the best friend for 2007, if i could mentioned a name… For Me, the best friend is all my friends… Each one is best on something i can't say X or Y. There is no something called perfect on everything. Example, One of them know who make me smile; the other become a shoulder when I wanna cry; another one is the secret keeper. Others who enjoy eating with.. So all of you my friends are the Best of Friend of 2007, because each one is the best on that thing, all of them become the best Friend….

Let me put things together, Ubuntu is becoming my love and obsession and everything, yesterday i received the Ubuntu 7.1 CD and decide to run it Live from the CD. The last version that I used was 6.06. My laptop is HP Pavilion 1000 (4 years old 🙂 ) 1.6 Centrino, 512 MB RAM, 60 GB HD and 64 MB graphic card. Imagine if I want to install Vista on this laptop what will happened?!! I inserted the CD waiting Ubuntu to load. after few minutes I got the desktop. What I noticed that all my Hardware are recognized from the Sound Card to the wireless card and bluetooth adapter. Another thing is Ubuntu gave me the status of my Laptop battery saying the battery efficiency is 18% only because it is 4 years old 🙂 and this never happened on Windows XP. I connected to my wireless network. Start using Firefox and browse the net, then I decide to go further with my test to enabled the improved graphics see what will happened and how my laptop gonna response. Few clicks and it is On.. Then the WOW is starting everything is running smoothly with all visibility and effects (Remembered that I am running Ubuntu from the CD not installed). I tried to enabled the more effects but couldn't because the Ubuntu it is not installed. The Ubuntu turned my old 4 years laptop to a brand new Laptop with the latest technology and visual effects without affecting the performance. I guess sooner I will say goodbye to Windows XP and live with my new/old Love Ubuntu 

we are almost at the end of 2007 taking it is last breathe. For me, 2007 was one of the best year. I call it years of surprises and doing things very fast without alots arrangement; I traveled to different places, meeting new people, moving to different job positions…etc. Now, What is the best things that I liked this years?!!
